CHINESE REFUGEES.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The treasurer of the New Zealand council for the "adoption" of Chinese refugee children, Mr. F. W. Furkert, reports that the sum of £1000 was cabled to Madam Chiang Kai-shek about four weeks ago, and that a further £1000 was transmitted on Saturday.
