The prominent Auckland architect, Mr. K. W. Aimer, has received advice trom London that he has been elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts Recently the council of the society invited him to accept nomination. Fellows and members of the. society are scattered throughout all parts of the Kmpire in the United States and in many foreign countries. Two wellknown photographers — Mr. Hermann Schmidt, of Auckland, and Mr. Ellis Dudgeon, of Nelson—are New Zealand fellows.
Head of the society is the Duke of Connaught, and its headquarters are in the" Adelphi, the building havintr been designed more than a century ago by the famous architect, Robert Adam. It was founded in 1754 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1847.
