(Prom Onr Own > VANCOUVER, August 18. The 23rd meeting of the Canadian Bar Association, in its concluding eeesion here, took eteps to investigate the
possibility of launching "a carefully devised publicity campaign, on behalf of the profession aa a whole." No action can be taken this year on the resolution, which came before the meeting immediately after a discussion of the solicitors' guarantee fund of New Zealand, led by R. M. Whillee Chitty, K.C., of Toronto. It will be in the hande of a committee during the coming year, and may come before the next annual meeting. Adoption of the New Zealand guar-
antee fund plan by the Canadian Bar Association wae advocated by Mr. Chitty, and later referred to a committee for study. Under the plan, every solicitor would contribute a stipulated annual fee to the fund whk-h. controlled
