Loving greetings! Please. I am jroing to tell you some few line* about myself and our island, and our village too; fam Siale Pule, r am a !>ov " I am 17 years old and six months." Mv onthday is August 1. My parent* are still alive. The end of my name that's tIH- initial of my father , * name. I have three sister* and one big tall brother hut he's not here. He went to Samura Island about two years ago. He's in Pago Pago, the capital of Tutiiila I am greatly eager to makes friend between us. Yesterday T read the newspaper about the "Auckland Star." and I saw your name on it. Please if you don't want me tell quickly anybody who want* to make friend* with me. I have plenty nice embroider "fa hats." and "palm hats" too. that my sisters made I am waitinjr for any reply from you i and to know how your mind fee 1* " I have one kind friend in Wellington but she was going t o England jnst three months passed for a happy holiday. Our island U very small, about 40 mile* long and 1.1 miles wide. It is not prootl enough or fertile because too rocky. We have no river nor lake nor mountain. Last year the blazin- sun shone four month*, and our giTrdens are deadly dry. and we are very much hungry nowadays. Then the rain fell We are very much happy. We saw our crops growing very good. My village is one of the big number of our island. I run dow|i every boat day to receive letters from the town. Our forefather willingly agreed to the CJospel of C.od in the year 184».
