HOWICK COMPLAINT.
POWER INTERRUPTIONS.
BOARD MANAGER'S REPLY. The general manager, Mr. R. H. Bartlej, stated at a meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board yesterday afternoon that it had been reported that the Howick Town Board proposed to protest against alleged frequent interruptions to the power supplied to the area. Mr. Bartley added that he had not had an opportunity of going into the matter fully, but as far as he was aware there had been only three interruptions in three months. Local interruptions, due to fuses blowing , , were likely to oeeur on any system of reticulation, and those were always attended to with the preatest dispatch.
Mr. Bartley added, that the case of an individual complaint at Pakuranga had been investigated. It was found to be a local fault, and at once received attention.
