GOLDEN JUBILEE.
RELIGIOUS CELEBRATIONS.
VICAR APOSTOLIC OF FIJI.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) SUVA, September 15. On September 22 hi*; Lordship the Most Rev. Dr. C. J. Nicolas, S.M., Vicar Apostolic of Fiji, will celebrate the golden jubilee of his ordination. Almost the whole of these 50 years have been spent in Fiji, where his Lordship is loved by his own flock and esteemed and respected by all sections of the community.
The solemn religious celebration of t!io jubilee will be on Sunday. September 2i>, when Pontifical High Muss will be sung in the Sacred Heart Cathedral at 10 a.m. At the conclusion of the Mar*» his Lordship will impart the Papal lrlessintr to the congregation. In the afternoon the towers of the cathedral, which are the jubilee grift to hie LortUhip from hi* people, will be blessed and, following; Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, will be formally presented to his Lordship.
