STATE HOUSING.
PURCHASE OF LAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The Parliamentary Under-Secretery in charge of Housing. Mr. J. A. Lee, announces that the following purchases of land in Auckland for housing have been approved by the Cabinet:— Wainoni Avenue, Harbour View Road, Point Chevalier Road, Oliver Rood, Te Ra Road, Wrights Road and Newell Street, Point Chevalier, sufficient for approximately 14 house-s; land in Waiatarua Road and Ara Street, Renmera, sufficient for four houses; land in Lambeth Road and at the corner of Dominion Road and Sunglen Avenue, Mount Eden, HinVient for 14 houses; land in Duke Street, Princes and Akarana Avenue* and Queen's Way, Mount Roskill, sufficient for eight houses; land in Fowld's Avenue, Sandringhem, sufficient for four houses; land in Phyllis and Jerram Streets, and at the corner of Springleigh Avenue and Mark Road, Mount Albert, sufficient for ten houses.
