TEACHING ADULTS
Education ha* brief mention in the manifesto issued by the National party. "We will encourage and develop the kindergartens," it says. "We will maintain the present entry and leaving school ages. We will extend the work of the correspondence school and provide further facilities for secondary and technical education in country districts. Wβ will provide facilities foe adult education.
"That the welfare of the children must be the first consideration in every educational system, and realising that the beet results oan only be attained with the most efficient teaching staff, we will consult with the profession in an effort to find solutions of these problems. Wβ will extend dental treatment for children and increase free transport facilities to children attending primary and secondary schoole."
