NORTH AUCKLAND FARMERS. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The 36th annual meeting o£ the Xorth Auckland Farmers' Co-op. was held on Friday night. '"Two factors which have affected our profit-earning capacity should be brought to your minds before we come to a consideration of the details of our operations." said the chairman of directors, Air. J. W. McAulay, who presided. '"The first is the increased competition and the second is the serious increase in our operating costs brought about by Government legislation. '"During the year,"' he added, "the directors took in hand the matter of providing suitable accommodation for the conduct of the company's business at Kaitaia and Kaikohe, at botli of which places our premises were most unsuitable from age and design." After a short discussion the report and balance-sheet were adopted. A dividend of 5 per cent of the preference share capital was passed. The retiring directors, tal was passed. The retiring auditors, Messrs. Pinker and Boyd were re-elected. The retiring directors, Messrs. H. S. Alexander, of l'akatoa. and V. Bowmar, of Mangawai, were re-elected. At a subsequent meeting of the board, Air. J. W. McAulay was re-elected chairman and Mr. D. J. Finlayson vice-chairman. At a special meeting held prior to the annual meeting, resolutions were passed to reduce the number of directors comprising the board from 12 to 9 and the unissued share capital was cancelled. The capital of the company i« now £97,107 !0/, divided into 10.000 preference; A shares of £1 each, and 63.325 preference B shares of £1 each, and 59.707 ordinary shares of 8/ each, all of which are fully paid. INCREASE OF CAPITAL Waiatarua, Limited. — Capital increased by addition of £5500 beyond registered capital of £6500. Eppics, Limited.—Capital increased by addition of £1000 beyond registered capital of £3000.
