ROB ROY ON SCREEN.
COMPANY INTERESTED. PRODUCTION STOPPED MEANTIME GLASGOW. A Gainsborough film unit recently visited Aberfoyle and the surrounding Rob Roy country, which includes Loch Katrine, Loch Vennachar and Loch Achray. Needles? to say they were engaged on business connected with a picture based on the story of Rob Roy. It ia a strange fact that Rob Roy has not yet been seen on the screen. Several producing companies, both British and American, have toyed with the idea, but none has produced the finished article. Even now it will probably be a considerable time before the public see Gainsborough's Rob Roy, for, according to a message from London, work on the picture has been stopped until some time next year. This does not mean that the picture, or such of it as has been made, has been scrapped. A report in a screen magazine suggests that the stoppage is only temporary. This report says that Gainsborough are using Roy Roy as "a vehicle for the newly-created love team, Margaret Lockwood and Michael Bsdgreve.-
