Richmond won the final of the Roope Rooster competition on Saturday afternoon, winning from City by a fairly comfortable margin. It wan a fast xmiie all the way anil the better team won. In the I'helan Shield series I'apaknra sprang a Kinprise by defeating North Shore, while Maniikaii got the decision in a, liigii scoring game against Mount Albeit. Marist played a practice match wilh I'utisonby. Ucsiilts of the games were: — Richmond 20. v. City 8. I'apaknra 10. v. North Shore 12. Maniikaii '2ti. v. Mount Albert 17.. COMBINATION TELLS. Showing Letter combination than their opponents. Richmond, In winning the Roope Rooster tinal, gave a much Letter display than City. For Richmond tries were scored hy Mills, Itroailhend, Bickerti.n and Sntherley, Bramlev converting all four. Ktannwn.v and Whittle scored for City and Hutchinson kicked a penalty goal.
