FORMER N.Z. CHAMPION. RANA WAGG FAILS TO QUALIFY. (Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Among those who qualified for the Xew South Wale* amateur golf championship was H. G. Davie* (Napier), with a total of 166 (to the 143 scored bv J. Ferrier, the top man). Rana Wagg (Hutt), New Zealand amateur champion in 1931 and 1932, failed to qualify. His aggregate for the two rounds woe 167.
