Patrick Ernest Furlong Collins (63), a labourer, wan dealt with by Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Police Court to-day on two charges of theft of a brass rule worth £4 and an electric meter valued at £1, and another charge of attempting to obtain £5 by falsely representing that he had £00 in the Waihi Post Office.
"You have a very bad lift, Collins," the magistrate said to the prisoner, whom he sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each of the three charges. The terms are to be eerved concurrently.
