CIVIL AIR RESERVE.
APPLICATIONS INVITED. The Air Department is inviting applications for positions in the professional, technical and administrative sections of the Civil Reserve of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The squadron in Auckland is to be equipped with Baffin aircraft, and will operate from the Air Force base at Hobsonville. The three top floors of the Banks Box factory building in St. Paul Street, off Wakefield Street, have been leased for use as the training and administrative centre of the unit. Steps are beinj? taken to subdivide these floors in order to provide instructional rooms for fitters and wireless personnel, general lecture and social rooms, and the necessary administrative offices. The. building will also accommodate, as a temporary measure, a part of the meteorological section of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
