DRIVERS CHARGED.
INTOXICATION ALLEGED. TWO MEN ON REMAND. Three men who had 'been arrested on charges of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of motor vehicles, were brought before Mr. C. R. Orr Walker in the Police Court to-day. In two of the cases remand's were obtained. John Irvine Crawford, aged 26, cvmmercir.l traveller, appeared on three counts —it being alleged that while in a state of intoxication in charge of a motor car in Parnoll Road on Saturday, ■by such act of omission in the use of such vehicle, he Jid cause bodily injury to Phyllis Stevenson; that he failed to stop and ascertain if any person had been injured, and that he negligently drove a car in Parnell Road, thereby causing bodily injury to the same person. Sub-Tnsnector Pox obtained a remand in all three charges until Monday next. t Accused, who was represented by Mr. Julius Hogben, was allowed bail, self in £100 and a surety of £100. A painter, Leslie Arold Moulder (38), for whom Mr. George Skelton appeared, was charged with being in. a state of intoxication while in charge of a van in Great North Road on Saturday, using obscene language, and resisting I Constable N. T. Davis while in the ! execution of his duty.
Remanded on counsel's application until Friday next, accused was granted bail, self in £50 and a surety of a like amount.
