SYDNEY CONFERENCE. RETURN OF DELEGATES. TRENDS IN NEW ZEALAND. New Zealand and a number of other delegates to the Second British Commonwealth Relations Conference held in Sydney arrived at Auckland by the Monterey this morning. Many delegates who have remained in Australia for a short time following the conference will come to New Zealand during the next three weeks to study conditions and see the scenic attractions of the Dominion.

The Marquis of Lothian, chairman of the United Kingdom delegation, will arrive at Auckland by the Niagara on October 3. As secretary of the Rhodes Trust he will have matters to discuss with educational leaders. He will be accompanied by the Hon. Pandit Hirdsiy Xath, chairman of the Indiun Delegation. The majority of the Canadian delegation and Mr. Lionel Curtis, a member of the council of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and Mr. H. V. Hodson, editor of the Round Table, expect to reach Wellington on October 13. The New Zealand delegates and others on the Monterey all declared that the conference had been most valuable from an Empire viewpoint, although sharp difference* of opinion had been at times revealed during the discussions.
