MORE BUSINESS RECORDED. - ■ SHARP RECOVERY IN ZINCS: (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") CHBISTGHURCH, this day. A fair volume of sales was recorded on 'Change this morning, some values being substantially firmer. Metals accounted for almost all the business. New Zealand .industrials again had a lean call. Government 1949 stock was weaker at £100 15/ and later buyers 10/ lower, with no closing sellers. National Insurances were weak with unsupported sellers at 10/8. The insurance section as a whole was slack. Breweries were fully quoted, but the only issue to hold firm rates was Swan's, for which the market was 20/6 and 28/. The sharpest recovery was in Electrolytic Zinc preferences selling at 43/2 and 43/. The ordinaries, ox dividend, had quotations from 30/3 to 39/0. Dunlops were' active at 20/7. The dividend announcement of lMsd sterling made no change to Rawang Tin quotations, which had sales from 8/ to 8/1. North Broken Hills were a fraction easier.
