Rotorua Association.
NIGHT reminiscent of old times
was spent recently at Rotorua, when the local Main Body Association held its annual spree, in the Geyser Hotel, this being the fourth celebration. Unhappily bad weather, illnese and other causes were responsible for the absence of many who h-".d intended to be present. Nevertheless, a very happy evening was spent.
Proceedings began with two minutes* silence as a tribute to comrades "gone West." Following an excellent dinner, various toasts were enthusiastically honoured. followed by community singing, in which Mr. T. Bridge presided at the piano with Mr. Reke Rogers as song leader. A roll call the evening showed the following Main Body transports to lie represented:—Waimana, 11; Star of India, 9; Arawa, 7; Atlienic, (i; and Limerick,
The committee responsible for the arrangements for the evening was as follows:—Messrs. .1. M. Roberts (president) I. Deacon (secretary), J. Angrove, IS. Campbell, W. Baker and .T. H. Herrold.
