LOWEXBERG AND FRIESLAXD. (From Our Own Our ro spondent.) HAWERA, Friday. On account of illness the New Plymouth trainer W. Mantle haa had to retire, and that consintent mare Ladv K.vra hue been transferred to Hawcra and is now under Fryer's care. ]t ie anticipated that a eon pie more of Mr. H. Clelund's horses will also come under that mentor« care. Fiancee's at Foxton was not continued, but there is nothing wront; with the filly and mhe is down to race at the Marton fixture, where a fair sprinkling of Hawera horses are likely to compete. Reo Ra, the half brother to Taitoru, has been taken out of training. Lowenherg and Friesland are giving evidence of returning to form. They were sprinted two furlongs this week after doing a round and a half of solid pace work. Winsome Lu is still being treated to light exercise owing to slight muscle soreness in a shoulder. Race Boy jumped more confidently in his last schooling effort and appears a likely sort. 11. Scally intends taking Viracioug and Disturbed to Marton.
