DISPLAY AT WALTON

Choice daffodils were displayed at the annual \\ alton spring ilower dhow held in the Walton Hall on Thursday. lixhibitors were present from H imilton, Matamata, Mori'iiisville and l'utaruru. The show was officially opened by the Bishop oi Melanesia, the Kt. Kev. W. H. Baddeley, who was accompanied by Archdeacon Gillespie, of Mori liisville, and (.'anon C. W. Turner, of Te Aroha. The bishoj) couipliineiited the show committee under the leadership of Mrs. W. K. Franklin (president), and Alls. G. B. Way (secretary) on having a show equal to what would be found in any of the larger towns of New Zealand. In the evening prizes were presented by Arclidcacon Gillespie. The principal awards were as follows: —

EXHIBITS AT CAMBRIDGE
(From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, thie day. The annual display of the Cambridge Daffodil Society was held in the Town Hall yesterday. The en.tr:'» of daffodils were satisfactory considering the difficult season. There were many outstanding blooms and from these the judge. Mr. Frank Penn, of Auckland, made his championship awards as follows: — Champion "of champions: Mrs. H. Robinson's "Beersheba." Champion yellowtrumpet: Mr. A. Hopkirk'e "Roydlist." Champion white trumpet: Mrs. H. Robinson's "Beersheba." Champion Barrii: Mr. J. Yarrall's "Varna." Champion Incomparable: Mrs. H. Robinson's "Jean Hood." Champion Leedsii: Mr. A. M. Mills' "Senedos." Daffodil Cup: Mr. A. Hopkirk. 24 points: runner-up. Mrs. Robinson. 12 points. Orongo Shield: Maungatautari. 6 points. 1: Taupiri, 35 points, 2; Fencourt, 32 points, 3.
