Mrs. M. Fishwick, of Hastings, Mrs. A. Joseph, of Hamilton, and Mrs. Horace Miller, of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel.
Miss Jean Thomas, of Mt. Albert, leaves on Monday, by the Monterey for Los Angeles. She will be met by Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Kirkup, both of Auckland. Miss Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Kirkup will return to Auckland at the end of October. Mr. and Mrs. Kirkup are returning after a tour of England, Scotland, Ireland, the Continent and America.
Miss Betty Morrison, M.A., of Canter-l bury College, Christchurch, who has' spent the last five years in England,i teaching and. studying, will arrive byj the Niagara on Monday. Miss Morrison has obtained a Diploma of Education at London University, and intends t» take up educational work in New Zealand. Before she went to England, Miss Morrison assisted Professor Salmond, Professor of Philosophy at Canterbury College as part time lectures.
