Mr. Collins mentioned the success of the exhibition that has been held annually in Toronto for 00 years.
"The Toronto exhibition," lie said, "began as a small fair. It has grown into a permanent attraction of great value to business. It is financed by the exhibitors, who take space for 10 years. The civic authorities provide the buildings. Last year the exhibition had a profit of £f>o,ooo, which went to the Toronto Corporation.
"The exhibition lasts only 16 days, usually in August. Its record attendance for one day is 240,000, and the average daily attendance is 100,000.
