EXPRESS DELAYED.
FOUR TRUCKS DERAILED.
ACCIDENT AT TAIHAPE.

TAIHAPE, this day.
Considerable delay was caused to tlie 3 p.m. Main Trunk express from Wellington at Taihape last night, when four empty trucks were derailed while being shunted off the main line.
The scene of the liold-up was the junction of tlio locomotive siding and the main line. The wagons were attached to a good trains which had just arrived, and were being shunted off the main line when the accident occurred.
Fortunately for the Taihape passengers they had no distance to walk to their destination. A permanent way gang put the derailed wagons back on the track and the express was able to proceed after a delay of an hour. No damage was done to the trucks or rolling stock.
