A SCOTTISH LANDLADY.
The Rev. David G. Young, who, at the General Assembly of . the United Free Church of Scotland, spoke of a "recrudescence of stark paganism in Sabbathloving Scotland" (meaning, mainly, wireless on Sunday), no doubt sighs for the days when pious Scottish householders pulled down their blinds on Sunday. Those days are long ago, but (says the "Liverpool Post") it is onlv a fe'w years since,a landlady of the Island of Skve wrote, in answer to an inquiry for rootos: "I must tell you that none of my visitors is allowed to walk out on tie Sabbath, except to church."
