PROPOSAL SUPPORTED.
GREEN LANE TRAM SIDING. At a recent meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council the following resolution was passed: "That the placing of the proposed tramway siding at Green Lane would be of advantage to Onehunga residents, as it would facilitate passenger transport between the city and Onehunga on the occasion of sporting events at Alexandra Park." It is understood that Mr. W. F. O'Donnell, secretary of the Auckland Metropolitan Agricultural and Pastoral Association, who is in Wellington for the annual conference of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries, will interview the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, in support of the proposal.
