CHAMPION SCULLER. " ! AUSTRALIAN* CHALLENGERS. (Respired 2.30 p.m.) TORONTO. September 2. The champion Soulier Pearce (Canada 1 won by five full lenjrths the mile sculling race*against three Australian challengers. His time was Cm 08.25. Paddon was second in Oin 14.25. Cook was third. Two heats were originally planned but officials decided to make the contest a four-man race. Pearce and Paddon will meet ne\t week over a three-mile course for the title.
