ST. JOHN'S, FAPATOETOE. A welcome to the Rev. K. .T. Oraii 'e formerly of St. Giles' Presbyterian Church. Wellington, who has been appointed to the charge of John's. held in the Papatoetoe Church Hall in the form of a social A large attendance was presided over bv the moderator, the Rev. G. F. McKenzie. On behalf of church organisations messages of welcome and assurances of support were given by Mr. J. McFarland. Dr. J. J. Vaientine, Mrs. F Hunter. Mr. Quested, Mrs. K. Thompson and Mr. Y. H. French. Further welcomes were given by Mr. L. J. Kendall, chairman of the Papatoetoe Town Board, and the Rev. E. B. Moore an <l the Rev. P. Cooke (Methodist). The choir contributed a number of items, while others were given bv Mr Moore and Miss L. Hunter. ' The moderator was presented with a cheque n behalf of the church bv Mr. R. fi ; iiit-';'i i- in appreciation of' his services during the vacancy.
