BURST INTO FLAMES.
TREE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHEKE ISLAND, this day. Early last evening, during a storm, a pohutukawa tree on the property of .Mr. J. Kennedy, Putiki Bay, Waiheke Island, was struck by lightning and burst into flames. The tree was still burning at eleven o'clock t!iis morning.
