FAMOUS MISSIONARY.
BR. STANLEY JONES' VISIT.
_ Dr. Stanley Jones, famous Indian missionary, known the world over by reason of his book, "the Christ of the Indian Road," will be a through passenger on the Aorangi on Monday en route to America. As a missionary and lecturer in India and the East, Dr. Stanley Jones has had a distinguished career. He is a voluminous writer, and, in addition to the book already mentioned, hie "Christ and Communism" is listed among the best of best sellers.
He will be accorded a mayoral reception in the Mayor's room at 11.30 on Monday morning. At mid-day he will address a public meeting in the Town Hall, over which the Very Rev. Dean Fancourt will preside.
A meeting for ministers of religion will be held at 3 o'clock in the Pitt Street Methodist Church, when Dr. Jones will be the principal speaker. In the evening at 7.45 there will be a public meeting in the church, when the famous missionary will deliver an address.
