OBITUARY.
MR. G. J. WYNYARD.
After a long and painful illness the death has occurred of Mr. Gladwin John Wynyard in his eighty-second year. He }ived all his life at Devonport, and died within 100 yards of where he was. born. Only on two, occasions had Mr. Wynyard left Auckland, and then it wae to visit Wellington. He was an employee of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, and retired after 50 years' service. In his younger days Mr. Wynyard was a well-known amateur jockey, and rode several winners. He was a brother of Mr. "Tab" Wynyard, the well-known footballer, who died in Wellington recently. Mr. Wynyard is survived by *is brother Robert,, three eons, 6. A., L. H., and S. N. Wynyard, and two daughters, Mre. R. L. Hughes and Mrs. B. Raynee. .
