Mr. S. H. Leylaad is leaving for Wellington this evening. Dr. C. E. Beeby, Assistant Director of Education, is at the Station HoteL Mr. H. C. Couch, district traffic manager of railways, has returned to Auckland. Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, M.P., was a passenger by the Limited from Wellington this morning. Squadron-Leader E. M. F. Grundy, Royal New Zealand Air Force, is at the Star HoteL The Hon. J. E. Duncan, M.L.C., was a passenger from Wellington to Te Awamutu by train this morning. The Rev. A. C. Nelson, 8.A., chairman of the Congregational Union of New Zealand, is visiting Wellington. Mr. G. N. Campbell will leave Auckland by the Tasman to-morrow on a round voyage to Saigon, French IndoChina.
Sir. T. U. Wells, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, arrived bytrain. from Palmer ston North this morning. Dr. F. Macky, chairman of the Auckland Branch of the 8.M.A., will be a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. The Hons. A. Burns, T.~ Bloodworth, C. J. Carrington, J. Trevethick, J. Alexander and B. Martin, members of the Legislative Council, arrived at Auckland by the Limited this morning. Dr. Adelbert K I»otts, x instructor in geography at the State Normal and Training College, Cortland, New York, is expected to arrive at Auckland early in September. He is to fill a temporary exchange position at the Auckland Teachers' Training College.
