WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Btar" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Tauranga and Kawhia:— Light to moderate south-westerly to southerly winds prevailing. A few isolated showers probable, but weather mainly line; cool night, but milder day temperatures. Seas rather rough, but decreasing, on the west coast, slight on the east coast. The anti-cyclone mentioned yesterday is now centred east of rlew South Wales, but has lost its intensity. Pressure is rising slowly over New Zealand. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, calm; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but hazy, with scattered clouds; visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
