CLUB HONOURS AND "REP." GAME
CANTERBURY HERE.
EIGHT KIWIS IN THE AUCKLAND SIDE.
JCARIST AND POIfSOWBT. With a game which may decide the senior Rugby League championship and a representative match, Auckland v. Canterbury, on the ground in front of the grandstand, and two club games on the other ground, patrons of Carlaw Park are promised a feast of football to-mor-
In view of the other club matches the Auckland side is comprised solely of Manukau and Richmond players, but the strength of this side is evidenced by the fact that it contains eight of the players who went to Australia with the New Zealand team. On paper Auckland should win—probably comfortably—but the Canterbury team is a young, well-balanced combination which should provide an attractive game.
Marist, with a four-point lead in the senior championship, will meet Ponsonby in the curtain-raiser and victory for Marist will settle the championship. The competition, however, has provided many surprises and the game is no certainty for Marist.
On the other ground Mount Albert have been drawn to meet City, and in view of the improved form of the latter the issue may be close. Newton will also play North Shore and this should be another even contest. The representative teams are;— CANTERBURY.
