fast night. An excellent programme ef competitions had been arranged by the membership committee which comprised Mrs. Warwick Smeeton, Mrs. H. G. Bell, Mrs. P. SinaTe, Mrti. A. Jt. Tdrrter, Mi«« Hilda Oorrie, Mists B. Brownlee, Miss P. Norris, Miss O. Maeey, Miss A. Bobb and Miss Wroath. . The. president, Mrs. W. H. Cocker, presided at the meeting. Reference- W«e made to the national campaign for the .purpose of raising funds for a memorial to D*. Ada Pater•on, the organiser of Ipalth camps in Mew Zealand. Dr. Patarson had been Dominion vies-sresideat ef the Federation of University Women and an active member of the WeUngten branch, as Well as Director of School Hygiene. The proposed memorial will take the form of a marble or tetania bas-relief to be placed in the National Art Gallery, and it ie hoped tfr create an endowment for some special feature in health camp*. A letter rescivOd from the International Federation of University Women wae redd, this letter dealt with an inquiry ae to the place to be allotted for the recording Of women's movements in New Zealand history text books. Congratulations were extended to Miss Muriel May «pOn her election to the Otago University Council and to Miss Patricia Lusher, who has been awarded the first travelling ecbolarship given by the New Zealand Perflation,
