Aero Club Holds Eleventh Annual Ball.

A significant social event is the Auck land Aero Club ball, and the eleventli pniiual function which was held at tht leter Pan Cabaret last evening was another highly successful attainment achieved by an energetic committee. Air Force wings in replica suspended at the entrance foyer and around the ballroom walls denoted the objective ol the occasion, and the colourful decora tive scheme in the cabaret 'was particularly effective. Clusters of gailycoloured balloons festooned the ceil'ina andjhe cubicles, and huge tubs of a ruin lilies tinted in gold and crimson flanked the corners of the room alternately with tall palms, while green foliasre entwined the pillars, contrasting with a colourful touch of yellow mimosa. Similarly distinctive were the decora tions in the supper room. Kxotlcallv shaded lilies in red. yellow aiid green made striking adornments to "each coiner, while ferns and scarlet fla-x fronds gave a truly tropica] atmosphere to the surroundings. The table* were centred with fjreen streamers, while tall vases of gold and crimson-tinted ariin. lilies and bowk of mimosa completed a most artistic scheme. Modern dances comprised the programme, and "I'm an Airman," sung bv a member of Lauri Paddi's orchestra; was well in keeping with the theme of the evening, and was vigorously applauded.
