CONCERT HELD. A successful concert was held in the Pitt Street Methodist hall under the auspices of the Auckland district executive, of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. The district president, Miss Read, presided. The programme included songs by Mesdames Clark, Watte Ash'er, Xichol, Walsh, Miss Ellison and Mr. Ke.seel, and elocutionary items by Mrs. Gourdie and Mr. Samuel. A quartette, consisting of Mesdames A. L. Lewie, Xichol, Vivian and Roberts, with Miss O. Garland at the piano, also rendered items. A duet was sung by Mesdames Patterson and Walsh, and pianoforte solos given by Mies Wallace.

Kohi.-St. Helier's.—The KohimaramaSt. Helier's branch of the Women'e Temperance Union held their meeting in the Kohiinarama Preebyterian Church. The president, Mrs. C. Phillips, sen., openecUthe meeting by a temperance hymn and prayer for. peace, home and country. Mrs. S. Mills led devotions and gave a helpful reading. Mre. H. Kaepar read W.C.T.U. facts and gave a travel talk on her trip on the Queen Mary.

Auckland.—The monthly meeting of the Auckland Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the board room, Y.W.C.A.. Mre. Stempson presided. Reports of the cradle roll and Loyal Temperance Legion were given by Mesdames McCombs and Holmes. Mrs. Swan gave the report of the National Council of Women. The temperance fact was read by Mre. Johnson. Mise Fountain, of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission in India, gave an interesting account of the work which is carried on by women there.

Northcote.—A meeting of the K«vthcote Women's Christian Temperance Union was held at the home of the president. . Mrs. Hugh Kasper, J.P., gave an interesting account of her experiences at the World's Convention, United States, as the only New Zealand delegate. Afternoon tea was served at the close. Votes of thanks to Mrs. Keeper and the president were passed.
