AWFUL ORDEAL.
Parents Helpless As Children Burn to Death.
NEW SOUTH WALES TRAGEDY.
SYDNEY, July 10.
During the absence of their parents at a neighbour’s home, three children— Shirley Croke, aged nine; Winifred Croke, aged seven; and David Croke, aged five—were burned to death in a wooden hut 19 miles from Camden last night.
The parents and two elder daughters were playing cards at a neighbour’s residence when the fire occurred, and were unable to rescue the children owing to the flames having too great a hold.
