SOUTH CANTERBURY SHOW.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU. Saturday. The South Canterbury Winter Show was opened this afternoon by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong in the presence of a large gathering. The exhibition is both comprehensive and impressive, showing the varied industries and productive capacity of the province. In addition to the Minister's, speeches were made by the Mavor of Timaru Mr. W. G. Tweedy, and the Mavor of Waimate. Mr. (i. Dash. The show will remain open until Saturday next.
