RESIGNS FROM BANK.
PROMINENT GOLFER.
HORNABROOK'R NEW POSITION.

MABTERTON, this day. Adrk* has been received that J. P. Hornabrook, New Zealand open golf champion, and former amateur titleholder, has resigned from the Bank of New Zealand, at Palmerston North, and has accepted a position as the Wairatapa representative of the Atlantic Union Oil Company. Mr. Horaabrook will be stationed at Masterton, arriving here in about a fortnight. He joined the staff of the bank at Masterton, but was transferred to Palmerston North several years ago. Mr. J. Hodges, the present representative of the Atlantic Union Oil Company at Masterton, has been transferred to Palmerston North.
