I U« couple were married at Oamaru la.~t rue»lay. and after the wedding left i a their honeymoon for Christ - church, where they stayed until Saturday. They returned to Tiinaru on Saturday by private car. and bo..kcd in at the Empire Hotel for the night. After dinner Mr. McKinnon appeared ai.d wife advised him to see a doctor. He had previously received medial treatment for nervous trouble. Mr-. McKiiun.n offered to accompany hitn to a doctor, but he expressed a desire to go alone, telling his wife that he would return and meet her at the hotel. He I< ft the hotel about eight o'clock, and has not so far been traced.
When Mr. McKinnon failed to return to the hotel anxiety was felt for his safety, and a description of him was circulated to various police stations and broadcast throughout yesterday, but without auv clue to his whereabouts.
The mis&ing man is 2«< years of age, is sft JI in in height and is of strong build. He has dark hair, a fresh complexion am! jrrey eyes. When he left the hotel lie was wearing a blue suit with a fine red stripe, a slate grey hat. black shoes and a light fawn check overcoat with a belt.
