INCREASED ENTRIES.

WELLINGTON CLUB.

WINTER NOMINATIONS. NINETEEN IN STEEPLECHASE. Excellent entries have been received by the Wellington Racing Club for its winter meeting, to be held at Trentham on July 3, 7 and 9, the total being 744, against 682 last year.

The Wellington Steeplechase has drawn a field of nineteen, and it should provide a good race. Erination won the Great Xorthern Hurdles, and was third in the Great Northern Steeplechase to Yalpeen and Bryce Street. Valpeen is not engaged, but Bryce Street is, and will have to be considered. Smilin' Thru won the Winter Steeplechase ou the concluding day of the Auckland winter meeting, while Kinkle accounted for the Green Lane and Tamaki Steeplechase at that meeting.
