EXPRESS DELAYED.
AXLE OF CRANE BREAKS. MISHAP NEAR TEMUKA. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. A minor mishap on the railway line at Arowhcaua, just south of Temuka, delayed" the south-bound express for 18 minutes this morning. The axle broke on a crane which was being brought back to Timaru on a train from Ashburton after having been used on the reconstruction of the Temuka Bridge yesterday. The line was soon cleared and little disorganisation resulted.
