AUSTRALIANS WEAK. MANY PRICE DECLINES. TARANAKI OILS LOWER. A feature of the first call of the week on ’Change was further weakening in Australian securities. Broken Hill Bro; prietary changed hands 1/3 lower, at £2 15/6, with more available at the sale price, while Mount Lyells were quoted ex dividend between £1 1/10 and £1 2/6. Buyers came in for Electrolytic Zinc at reduced limits, namely, £1 12/9 for the ordinaries and £1 19/ for the preferences, while Dunlops were quoted between 19/1 and 19/9. British Tobaccos also slipped further, best buyers stopping at £2 5/2, with sellers 7d higher. In the mining section Broken Hill Souths ..were on offer at £1 5/6 and Marthas at 11/3, with no buyers for either.
