Cleary (Victoria) 1852. beat A Albertson (New Zealand) 900, in the sixteenth heat of the 'British Empire amateur billiards championship. Cleary made a break of 332, a Victorian amateur record. Albertson’s best was 87. The contest is nearing its end. the threeday final beginning on Thursday next. It is a foregone conclusion that K. Kennerley (England) will meet R. Marshall (Australia), tiie two champions being so far S. Moses and Albertson, the two New Zealanders, have one match more each.
