FIJI TO JAMAICA.
GOVERNMENT TRANSFERRED. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON', June 14. Referring to the recent Royal Commission, Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald, Colonial Secretary, announced the appointment of the new Governor of Jamaica, Sir Ar,thur Frederick Richards, at present Governor of Western Pacific, in succession to Sir Edward Denham. Dealing with disturbances in th« West Indies, the Minister said they were not anti-British, but were due to uncertainty of employment, low wages and bad housing.
