A Royal Australian Air Force aeroplane returning to Richmond from manoeuvres near St. Mary's, 40 miles from Sydney, crashed this afternoon and burst into flames. • The pilot was burned to death and the passenger was so severely burned that he was unable to state what happened. The pilot was R. Pomeroy, and the other occupant of the machine was Aircraftsman I. C. Purdy.
