Notice Is hereby given that It Is the i intention of the Ellerslie Borough Council I in pursuance and in exercise of the Powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations i Act, IOTi, the Rating Act, 1025, the Ellerslie ' Town Board Loan Conversion Order, 1034, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1020, and in pursuance of all or any other Ai?t or Amendment thereto enabling at a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held in I the Council Room, Municipal Chambers, Ellerslie, on THURSDAY, the 30th day of June, 1038, at 7 p.m., to make and levy the following rates:— 1. A GENERAL RATE of Threepence (3d) in the £. 2. A SPECIAL RATE of Fivepenee > three farthings (3Jd) in the £ to 1 provide Interest and Sinking Funds. 3. NON-CONSUMERS' RATE.—Upon all i rateable property to which water can be but is not supplied, a rate not exceeding 30 per cent of the rate to be paid by ordinary consumers. ' 7. WATER EXTRAORDINARY SUPPLY.—Extraordinary Supply will be i given by meter to be chargtd at 1/<J ! per 1000 gallons with a minimum charge of £1 10/ per annum, all water in excess of 20.00 D gallons to be paid for at the rate of 1/6 per thousand ! gallons in addition to the minimum ' charge. The Valuation Roll and a copy of the Estimates on which the foregoing rates and charges are being made is open for inspection at the Council Chambers during office hours. REBATE. In accordance with Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1025, the Council hereby gives notice that a Rebate of Five Per Centum (5 p.c.) will be allowed on all General and Special Rates paid before the expiration of THIRTY (30) DAYS from due date thereon.
