Difficulties In Naming N.Z. Towns
iVo Competitor Presents a Correct List Perhaps the failure of many readers to name correctly all the New Zealand towns depicted in cur last contest wa- due to she tact th it tney • were not sufficiently familiar with the product contained in each letter. j There could be no doubt about what No. 1 I wa? supposed to j represent—the picture ot a Maori girl and a geyser could be none other j than Rotorua. The picture ot a dam in No. 9 suggested Arapuni, and i nearly everybody knew that No. 3 was recognisable as Opotiki. Those were the easy ones. Nos. 1,2,4 and 5 seemed to be the ones which puzzled readers the most. No one succeeded in naming all the towns, but Eric Ashcroft, Roland Moreland, Margaret Moreland and Phena Cave had a corrected list of eleven towns each.
