WEATHER FORECAST.
1 FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. 1 - The Government Meteorologist > Issued to the " Auckland Btar " this , afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Tauranga and Kawhia:— Moderate to strong south-easterly winds, later decreasing. Weather still changeable, with passing ahowere at flrat in many places, but improving gradually. Temperatures cold. Bess rough, but moderating. An intense anti-cyclone now extends from the Tasman Sea across the South Island, but there has been little change of pressure in the North Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in tha Haurakl Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, east, strong to gale; sea, very , rough; weather, overcaat, with misty rain; visibility, poor; barometer, i steady.
