EVERY STITCH BY HAND.
Wonderful Trousseau For Menuhiris Bride. (Special.—By Air Mall.) LOXDOX, May 28. Miss Xola Nicholas, the Australian bride of Yehudi Menuhin, the violinist, began her married life this week with a 000-piece trousseau. More than 200 London girls. each of them a skilled needlewoman, have for the last fortnight been working day and night to complete one of the most rare collections of lingerie that have ever formed part of a modem bride's trousseau. Those who saw the collection at Mine. HermineV in Xew Bond Street, London, were dazded by the billowing loveliness of satin, taffetas, silk and chiffon in the 19-year-old bride's own colour choice of moonlight blue and ivory. Even Mme. Hermine, vivacious Frenchwoman, who for I<> years has been preparing trousseaux for London's most fashionable brides, could not restrain her excitement and her pride. "It was a rush order." she said, "with scarcely a fortnight to go before the wedding. But overy stitch in every garment has been worked by hand. Every design is original.'' Few royal brides can have rejoiced over a lovelier collection than that which the bride will take with her when she goes to live at her husband's family ranch at Los G.itos, in the Santa Cruz mountains, California.
